Dale McCrory

Dale McCrory, a seasoned product and technology leader, has an diverse set of experiences helping him think big picture and look around corners. Having a background in IT and SaaS product organizations across non-profits, marketing technology (MarTech), financial technology (FinTech), and educational technology (EdTech), Dale has experienced how sustainable digital transformation can occur among vendor migrations, emerging standards and funding constraints.

A Few of  the Many Noteworthy Projects I've Led.
  • The Beast (AI) alternate reality game
    I was web developer on the first augmented reality game early in my career.  Developed by Microsoft for the movie AI. 
  • WithArmsWideOpen.org
    My first experience with eCommerce in 2001 was building the Scott Stapp's non-profit site named for Creed's hit song With Arms Wide Open. 
  • ExactTarget and Microsoft integration
    At Salesforce, I led both the product improvements and solutions architecture for the initial ExactTarget  (now Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and Microsoft integration. 
  • ExactTarget OEM product line
    At Salesforce, I aligned technology to business needs in order to drive API-driven email marketing integrations as a new business unit.
  • Audio Project Manager 
    While bootstrapping Lingk's business, I needed a way to pay the bills, so I led product part-time at SIL Global for an oral Bible translation app used by many teams around the world.
  • D2L LMS  integration with Ellucian Banner and Ethos
    At Lingk, I led product and helped architect some very large higher education projects. SNHU, a large online institution, moving from Ellucian Colleague to Banner Ethos and reconnecting D2L is one example.
  • Ministry Platform
    At Prison Fellowship, attempting to unify the technology and analytics for multiple programs serving churches and prisons led to the development of a comprehensive ministry platform.  

Challenging Life Events

  • Experienced the "Don't come back on Monday, the company is shutting down" life event twice
  • Experienced the "We've run out of money" / "We've pulled through it" startup life event
  • Experienced being laid off
